The idea of having the Cirque du Soleil designing Canada's pavilion at the upcoming expo is a strange one. Is Nike or Gatorade designing our sporting facilities? Furthermore, when has recent Expo design been of any architectural merit or contextual importance? According to the article, the Cirque has mandate to design a building.
